옷이 추위로부터 우리를 보호해주듯이 인내는 잘못된 행동으로부터 우리를 보호해주는 역할을 한다. 추울 때 옷을 더 많이 입으면 추위는 우리에게 해를 입히지 못할 것이기 때문이다.

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will then be powerless to vex your mind.
